ZION Counselling offers a counselling service to all the community in Haringey, North London, both for individuals and couples. Whether you have emotional, relational or other issues we commit to working with you and helping you move on in your life as you engage in therapy. As we work together, counselling can help you increase your level of self-awareness; and by choosing to apply this self-awareness in new ways, it can assist you in bringing about change for yourself, your life and relationships. Counselling can be truly life changing.

ZION Counselling offers both short and long-term counselling and therapy, using a well-established and acknowledged integrative Christian model, drawing upon CBT, REBT, psychodynamic, TA and person centred models of therapy.

OUR VISION

The vision for ZION Counselling is inspired by scripture (Isaiah 61:1-3), which underpins our heartfelt desire to assist in helping,'to heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free'. Hence, our desire is to walk alongside our clients as they journey towards healing, restoration, peace and liberation. We extend to all of our clients a genuine atmosphere of acceptance and respect where they will be encouraged and supported.

Most of us recognise that the world can be lonely and hostile at times and we may feel that it is safer to hide behind a mask, rather than revealing our true selves, through fear of being hurt, rejected or perhaps judged by others.

We can all benefit from being in a safe place where we can share our worries and struggles; and it is only when in such a place of genuine acceptance, that we can fully open up and share our deepest hurts and needs. ZION Counselling provides a safe and nurturing environment within which you may choose to be vulnerable and open up - perhaps for the first time in your life.

Although most clients refer themselves for therapy, our work is often undertaken in conjunction with other healthcare professionals, such as GPs and social workers, and some clients come to us as a result of a recommendation or referral by other external agencies, churches and pastoral carers.

WHERE WE ARE IN HARINGEY

Our counselling and therapy rooms are in Muswell Hill and are conveniently situated for easy access from many parts of London including Crouch End, Hornsey, Highgate, Enfield, Finchley, Barnet and Southgate - in fact most parts of North London and the Home Counties.

A male and female counsellor are available – whichever maybe more appropriate to your needs and requirements. Both counselling therapists are qualified and adhere to the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC) and British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Codes of Ethics.
